For the longest time I didn’t know why everyone wore the poppy on this day. I was listening to a poscast yesterday by someone in Canada who recited “Flanders Field” (I think?) and I finally got it! They even played a beautiful song of that poem put to music.
My hat is off to all young men on your side of the pond as well as ours – they fight together and I hope they are taking care of each wherever they serve.
