I hope the paramedic in question is ok? I’ve been out of circulation so not aware of the story if its been reported.

Its a shame the system favourd the criminal minded. However its the small mindedness of the criminals that worry me. You can bet they will be the first to sue for negligence if it were one if there own family.

Yuk. Try to avoid cranial detonation. Here in the USA the problem is the VA. There are punks everywhere but here in NJ the VA only has one A/E for the whole state.

The yoof will probably get thanked for saving the Health Service money. As per other comments, the medic will be in deep shit. Let’s hope that next time they forget to throw the fireworks, preferably grasping them tightly between their legs.

Scumbags! This is a particular problem in Liverpool, although as far as I’m aware the little b*&”£%s prefer to attack firemen with the odd paramedic if they can’t get to a fire engine. There’s been alot of work done to try and reduce this problem by the firebrigade which seems to have helped.
What I don’t understand is why? Why would anyone think it’s fun to attack emergency services/personnel? Sigh. lil sis x

Watch:

A. The medic in question will be disciplined for getting himself into a dangerous situation. He will then get another disciplinary action for violating response times, as well as a lawsuit from the woman’s family for gross negligence.

B. the ASBO’s in question will receive a desk appearance ticket (not sure what the equivalent is there), a small fine, and then, depending on their ages, will have their records expunged when they turn 18.

Just frakking terrific.

If they get caught? Hmm, let me think…

“This has been a most difficult case to consider. I actually had to take time away from my chardonnay, which was most distressing. After a full ten seconds of consideration I find that the paramedic driving the rapid response vehicle is guilty as charged.

The poor deprived youth of society were innocently playing with their fireworks, when the RRV driver viciously ran in front of them, catching fireworks with his head and disrupting their fun. After further disruption, he cowardly jumped into his vehicle and taunted them by just sitting there.

It also came to my attention that the driver was allegedly speeding just prior to the incident, and has a number of Class 1 and Class 2 drugs in his vehicle. He claimed these were for a woman having a heart attack in a nearby residence, yet this was not a valid excuse as a full ambulance was already dispatched to the scene.

As such, I order the RRV driver to make a full apology to the defendants, pay costs, and attend sensitivity counselling at his own expense. Oh and he is also required to replace my chardonnay”.

An exaggeration? Maybe, but not by much I suspect.

Personally I would have liked to give these little s**ts a suppository…with said fireworks.
