The Night!
Weekend nights are brill! No, truly they are. They are absolutely one hundred percent ace! I love them! I always feel half pissed when driving home in the morning after inhaling the fumes from our alcohol soaked ‘patients’ so it saves me a fortune in going out myself!
And it reminds you that there are some sick bastards out there (not medically sick but deranged mad people) who use alcohol as an excuse to vent their anger on others. Most of the jobs I attended over the week end were drink related (no shit Sherlock!) but the assaults are becoming more and more regularly vicious.
One such assault was a chap in his thirties out for a few drinks who was attacked for no reason and had his ear ‘chewed’. I guess his assailant must have been hungry. The following picture is not of our patient but demonstrates that surgery has become more advanced through the practice of sewing ears back on!

I have to confess to nibbling on someone’s ear once. In my defence, I was coming home from work late at night, had not been drinking, and was jumped by five drunken yobs. My only chance of getting clear before being knocked down, given a kicking and then hospitalised was to be meaner, scarier and crazier than they were. When an ear presented itself in the melee, I took a bite and then howled like a mad dog. It was a bit too much for the yobs and I was able to break free, then scarper. I hate being out on Friday and Saturday nights.
That’s exactly what happened with the guy outside the pub that I witnessed in April, can’t say too much at the moment but I signed a nine page statement last week so hopefully they will get their cumupance, why would someone want to bite someone elses ear…..it beggars belief..

Emma…stranger things have been bitten! But it seems like ears are the in thing at the moment. Once went to someone who had part of his nose bitten off and someone who had his top lip bitten clean off! Nice! x
Mr. Nighttime…thats the scary thing, in the UK at the moment these idiots seem fearless. They will attack anybody and if they lose the fight will get the Police to charge their victim!

You should be afraid….that sort of crap has been happening here for years. The worst part is that the courts actually will take these cases, against the victim and in favor of the criminal.
