The captain is an ex para, reading this reminds me of listening to him explain the history of the regiment. They really are the most incredible men those who first jumped from planes with little or no kit. They also all have multiple injuries they won’t necessarily let on about. The captain recently had septecimia (sp) from what he referred to casually as a ‘bite’ and turned out to be a bit of old shrapnel.
Harry’s wife must be a pretty special woman too, to live with the aftermath of kind of trauma these guys experience is, well, tricky.
