		<description><![CDATA[Poor patients! It&#039;s nice that something could be done for the cat, and that you got the chance for a return visit to the Vets.

uphilldowndale, yeah, I doubt &quot;I can help&quot; is going to have much effect. The best you can do is just keep saying soothing things to the animal - the tone of your voice is so, so important, as I&#039;m sure you&#039;re aware with your own dogs.

we used to have a dog that was obsessive about sticks, he would often just chomp straight through them; leaving a chunk, about an inch long, jammed across the roof of his mouth. He would frantically try to get it out with his paw, with little success. We became quite adept at levering them out with either a chop-stick or a screwdriver. I wouldn&#039;t try it with the dog we have now, the image from &#039;saw it coming&#039; springs to mind]]></description>
