I hope she can get any support she needs.
How sad that she felt she could risk her own life, with the possibility of leaving her daughter orphaned, (add to that the fact it was the daughter that found her.) She must have been desperate to escape her pain, if only for a while.

The poor lady, she’d obviously tried to get her life back to normal….you can’t get over the death of someone close to you. Maybe this scare will be beneficial for her.

I hope she manages to get her life back.

I think it was accidental, although she was still very depressed at losing her partner.
The things that struck me were the circumstances…not your normal run of the mill o/d and how she got sucked back into that world by other druggies.
Hopefully she will come through for her daughter.

In answer to your question of … why?

I’ve attempted suicide a number of times including o/d’s, in my work life I’ve also been the other side of the equation and convinced people to accept help and not to die.

I can only comment on my personal experience. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what else there is, the thing that hurts, is so incredibly painful that you cannot face another hour let alone another day or a lifetime. Being that depressed that you are prepared to die is more than a situation or a judgment call it’s a mental state, an illness just like anything else.

Don’t get me wrong it’s tragic and you did a superb job. Ambulance 1 Grim Reaper 0.
